Maggie Reeday started her career as a vocalist with a local Exeter band and subsequently toured USA army bases in Germany. It was during this time that she was invited to appear on ITV's 'New Faces' for a total of 4 times. She subsequently appeared in a variety of shows for ITV and has sung both for the Scottish Radio Orchestra and the BBC Radio Orchestra.
Maggie's love affair with jazz standards began many years ago and she has earned an excellent reputation in that field working with some great musicians. Jazz Journal International -"Ms Reeday has all the ingredients that a jazz singer requires; Good intonation, a powerful voice with plenty in reserve if necessary." The Guardian -"Maggie sings good standard tunes almost exclusively and makes them her own with an intimate and appealing jazz influenced vocal style". Her great sense of rhythm and natural ability to connect with her audiences has them shouting for more wherever she appears.
