Live Music Mondays presents....

Michael Isaac Trio

Michael is primarily known as an accomplished electric bass player with a penchant for rhythm and blues, funk, fusion, and jazz. Very experienced across genres and musical environs with over 30 years playing experience he continues to hone his craft and develop his musicianship on bass, piano, guitar, and drums. His formal musical training was at Salford University. Michael was active as a bass player in Manchester and the North West UK right through the 90s and beyond. Michael is also an active composer, arranger, and producer with three projects in development at the moment. The major album project “Earthrise” will be completed this summer (2017), the album has taken 18 months to complete and is a progressive jazz/fusion album celebrating NASA’s momentous achievements leading up to the first moon landing on July 20th, 1969. It features the considerable talent and musical interpretations of guitarist Mike Walker (The Impossible Gentlemen) and Neil Yates on Trumpet and Flugelhorn The album is very cinematic and evocative, in the past, it would have been referred to as a “concept album” though these days this term is somewhat redundant even comically ironic. See the “Earthrise” page for more details As a sideman and session bass player Michael has performed and recorded throughout the UK and Europe, have look at the “Session Bass Player” page and videos to see if he can enhance your songs or project. He is also now rehearsing a band to perform his original music and record the follow-up to “Earthrise” later this year. See “The band” page for biographies and details.
