The past 5 years have been incredibly challenging for people and businesses in this country and indeed across the world. We have weathered many storms in this time, but a 5th consecutive year of escalating running costs alongside a number of unfortunately timed one-off maintenance expenses has put us in the difficult position of calling upon you, the community, to help us keep our doors open.

Since 2013 we have strove to create a hub for the diverse, dynamic community we operate within. We have nurtured a home and platform for artists, makers and performers, and sought to create a safe haven for anyone who wishes to enjoy these offerings. We hope that we can continue to bring you the exceptional music and art that Plymouth has to offer, but we need your help to get through this year.

We understand that many people find themselves in similar situations to us, struggling to keep their head above the water, so any donation big or small is received with the greatest appreciation and humility. So to those of you who can, please help us to provide Plymouth with a space for the community and the arts to thrive. Anything we are able to raise in our Crowdfunder will be matched by Plymouth City Council.

Welcome to the Bread and Roses, Plymouth's only  social enterprise pub.  We operate as a community focused hub and arts space for everyone to use, with a cafe & free Wi-Fi during the day followed by progressive live musicians and events in the evening. Visit us at the bar and we will serve you with passion in our heart, ethics from our mind, live music for your ears, and creativity to inspire. We can even pull a pint.
